Who we are

6° Stormo virtuale Diavoli Rossi was born in March 2006 by a group of friends who share passions such as aviation, air combat history and flight simulators. The founders have years of experience of virtual flight, especially with Il-2 Sturmovik and subsequent expansions.
Passion and experience have thus led to join forces to form this Squadron, trying to convey the experience and techniques learned over the years to those who wish to relive, albeit virtually, the spirit and atmosphere of the Second World War, seen through the eyes of a warbird pilot.

The training program for recruits and subsequent missions as official pilot give ample room for virtual growth, in terms of tactical ability and cultural background about the historical period simulated.

Like a real Squadron, priorities in 6 ° Stormo virtuale Diavoli Rossi are the synergy and harmony between the pilots, the ability to fly as a team and not as individuals. The spirit of the Red Devils are all about: teamwork, in a continuous improvement, having fun and always remembering that Il-2 Sturmovik is a simulator, but a videogame too, even if faced with seriousness and professionalism. Therefore, the virtual flight must be a hobby, a distraction and shouldn't make quarrels between virtual pilots.

Being a Red Devil requires a minimum of weekly presence and dedication about official flight appointments and life on the forum, but the fact remains that every virtual pilot is primarily a real person with a job or study, so common sense, maturity and respect for others, are required to live this adventure with good satisfaction and enjoyment.
